On November 23 and 24, 2015, regional meetings were held in Cracow and Poznań by the ICC Poland Commission on Competition with participation of the representatives of the of the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKIK), dealing with building awareness of competition law among entrepreneurs and encouraging them to have competition law compliance programs in place.

During the meetings, a Polish version of “ICC Antitrust Compliance Toolkit” and a new ICC publication “ICC Toolkit for Small and Medium-Size Enterprises were presented. Both documents can be downloaded from the ICC website:

In Cracow in Collegium Maius, at the Jagiellonian University, the role of antitrust compliance was discussed by:

• Waldemar Jurasz, Director of the Cracow Division of UOKIK
• Wojciech Kowalewski, legal counsel, President of the ICC Poland Commission on Competition,
• Dr hab. Paweł Podrecki, ordinary member of ICC,
• Andrzej Bednarczyk, advocate from Bednarczyk Łuczak i Wspólnicy law firm,
• Zbigniew Pilch and Dariusz Konieczny from Cement Producers Association,
• Aleksandra Dziurkowska, legal counsel apprentice and Katarzyna Wiese, legal counsel apprentice from Traple Konarski Podrecki i Wspólnicy sp.j. law firm

In Poznań the meeting was held in NH Hotel. where opinions were exchanged by:

The meetings were positively welcomed by entrepreneurs, antitrust law practitioners and academics.
